Biography
American snowboarder Nick Baumgartner hails from Iron River, Michigan. He competes in snowboard cross (SBX). He earned a spot in the 2010 Winter Olympics. At the Winter X Games in 2011 and 2012, he took home the gold and silver medals. At the age of 40, Baumgartner, a competitor in the 2014 Winter Olympics, won his first Olympic gold when he and teammate Lindsey Jacobellis won the first-ever Olympic mixed snowboard cross competition.
