Her extensive experience includes choral singing, operatic training, stage musicals, and performances across multiple languages. My involvement with Agape Beauty Shop—an Off-Broadway gospel theatrical production—began when the show's creator issued an audition notice seeking someone to fill three positions simultaneously: musical director, composer, and performing artist. I submitted my electronic press kit somewhat skeptically, doubting my chances given my limited background leading such ambitious productions, particularly in the capacity of musical director. Surprisingly, I received a callback roughly ten days afterward and was ultimately awarded the contract. Since age twelve, I've harbored aspirations of scoring films and performing on soundtracks. Now I'm realizing that vision, feeling immensely grateful to the film's producer for trusting my abilities and providing this remarkable opportunity.

Developing the sonic character for this film presents considerable challenges while simultaneously offering invaluable educational experiences. My sibling works as a music producer and has proven essential in defining our target aesthetic. She possesses technical capabilities that complement areas where I need growth, and I'm absorbing tremendous knowledge from our collaboration. Together, I'm confident we'll achieve the appropriate atmosphere and emotional resonance for this production. Additionally, I'm immersing myself in various gospel, blues, and soul recordings to better understand the musical language appropriate for Agape Beauty Shop II's Atlanta, Georgia setting.

My personal compositions typically draw heavily from my Irish and Scottish ancestry, or feature French lyrics since that's my native tongue. That said, I'm thoroughly enjoying the process of creating music that explores themes of romance, grief, vengeance, and spirituality central to Agape Beauty Shop II's storyline. Working within unfamiliar musical traditions certainly poses difficulties, yet the experience proves enriching as I develop new skills continuously. Exploring these genres has also sparked innovative concepts for upcoming personal releases.

Indeed, my formative years included extensive work in choirs, opera, and stage musicals. This foundational education remains invaluable, particularly regarding music theory, compositional structure, and vocal interpretation. My theatrical background, for instance, emphasized narrative communication—establishing direct emotional connections with listeners and ensuring each word and melodic phrase carries significance and urgency. I'm determined to infuse Agape's soundtrack with that same intensity and authenticity.

This album emerged during a period when spiritual belief became fundamental to my existence. Managing Rheumatoid Arthritis—a severely limiting condition I've endured for more than a decade—compelled me to redirect my focus toward faith. It now occupies a central position in my daily life, and during episodes of intense suffering and doubt, I turn to God for strength. I recall experiencing profound hardships during those initial years of illness, during which I composed poetry and prayers. Eventually, those prayers evolved into songs, and through that process I discovered the conviction that despite my physical constraints, divine support makes anything achievable.

Writing and singing provided refuge from physical agony, and those creative moments brought me the greatest tranquility and contentment. This album contains both reinterpreted classics and original material. Notably, a composition titled "The Song Of Life," which I created when my illness first manifested twelve years ago, will appear both on my album and in the Agape Beauty Shop II film. My aspiration is that these songs, along with future releases, will offer listeners the same optimism, happiness, and serenity they provided me during my most difficult times.

Roy Hamilton holds Grammy nominations and multiple platinum certifications as a music producer, and working alongside him and Singer's Company Inc.—the enterprise he established and currently oversees—has been extraordinarily educational. Roy specializes in pop, R&B, and gospel genres, bringing decades of expertise from collaborations with legendary and contemporary artists including Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Ariana Grande, Justin Timberlake, Justin Bieber, and numerous others. His guidance has been invaluable, particularly regarding industry navigation, contract evaluation, identifying potential pitfalls, and developing compositions from initial concepts. He possesses remarkable talent and comprehensive understanding of music business operations, and I consider it an honor to regard him as both mentor and friend.

Absolutely, linguistic variety significantly influences my creative output. I perform in seven languages, with particular affection for French as my mother tongue, but also English and Scottish Gaelic as tributes to my heritage and Scottish-born grandparents. I'm pleased to announce an upcoming release of "The Boatman," performed in both English and Scottish Gaelic. I'm also eager to share recordings in diverse languages with international audiences in coming months.

I partnered with Initium last year, which has substantially expanded my international visibility as an artist while providing practical assistance, counsel, and expertise regarding contractual matters and business operations—aspects that can feel daunting at times. Moving forward, I aspire to continue working in cinema, particularly composing and performing for film soundtracks. Appearing in a Broadway production someday would also fulfill a significant dream. I'm currently partnering with several new producers on original material that I'm enthusiastic to unveil when appropriate. I'd also welcome collaborative opportunities with artists such as Andrea Bocelli, the crossover ensemble Il Divo, Josh Groban, country artist Jelly Roll, and especially Michael Bublé and Céline Dion, who embody such vital aspects of Canada's musical heritage—working with them would hold profound significance for me as a Canadian performer.

Immediately ahead, I'm anticipating the release of my original arrangement of 'Ave Maria' in Aramaic, scheduled for Good Friday this year. Of course, I'm also continuing my scoring, vocal performance, and directorial responsibilities with my film and music collaborators on the complete soundtrack for the gospel-influenced NYC Off-Broadway theatrical production now becoming a feature-length film: Agape Beauty Shop II. We're optimistic it will achieve tremendous success!
